Sunrise of the Angeles

Over the past year, I have seen some spectacular sunsets over the mountains in Malibu and on beaches of Santa Monica, Venice and Huntington. But great sunsets are expected in this part of the country, given the clear skies and undisturbed view of the horizon over the pacific ocean. But, what I did not expect to see is beautiful sunrises.

The end of summer has brought in shorter days, and the late sunrises have coincided perfectly with my daily commute to work, to make it beautiful. Normally driving east on sunrises like these are blinding and a menace to the traffic. But the hazy skies, and the huge wildfire burning to the north have given a nice orangish tinge to the sun.

Good pics pointy...much better than your other visits to the country. It is funny how you start appreciating every piece of junk in here as opposed to the most stunning pieces back from ,say, kerala or kodai. Many of the places in US are over-hyped. Remember in one of the rainforests, that big castle kind of thing on the trees? there was a good point about this on the daily show too!

Machaan, we need good batsmen and chuckers for the tournament. Fly in , i will pay for your ticket :p..

@JC..I have some good sunset pics too, but I think these things need to be experienced, the photos dont do justice to it..

@Totti...U dont start appreciating junk, but u start appreciating beauty which we never cultivated in India. If I go back to India, I am sure I will see places like Ooty, or Marine Drive, or West Coast highway in a totally different sense...

I wish I could come for the game, but I am saving all my vacation to go to India..may my Aussies spirit help ur team win.
